                Let’s Go Hawks!!

Head lining this week’s schedule will fall on this Year’s Volleyball team as they will be in action on a Monday this week.

Bandera will be their opponent and the Bulldogs beat Canyon Lake in that first round of competition. If CL can beat Bandera then they will be District 28-4A 3rd seed and have an entrance to this year’s post-season.

The win last week over Fredericksburg has given The Lake a chance for a sweep but a loss would put your Hawks with a play-in battle with Fredericksburg in order to lock down that 4th and final seed for the UIL.

Fredericksburg will have to win their game over Llano but a woeful Yellowjacket team has yet to score a win this season and it would take a major upset to kick the Billies out of a chance to qualify.

So, CL’s schedule above might have another date added but a win would forgo that ordeal. A Canyon Lake win would put the Hawks in action next week probably on a Tuesday against Salado.

Stayed tune to The ReSporter for those details this week for further action.

Football had a tough week after losing to Fredericksburg and now an even tougher team in Lampasas will be next this Friday.

Canyon City Grill says Go Hawks!!

Canyon Lake’s Gold team was the only Sub-Varsity crew that was able to finish their game before the rain and lightening showed up on Thursday. That deluge cancelled the Freshman and Junior Varsity teams.

Both of those teams are 6-1 this season and look to continue their undefeated district slate with their final home game on Thursday.

The Freshman team will kick-off at 5pm and The Lake’s Junior Varsity will follow that contest. You need to come out and watch these two future players as they will bring some winning traditions to the Hawks next year.

CL’s Gold team will be traveling to Hondo for their game as this is another team with a winning record going into their last two weeks of play.

Mountain Valley’s 7th Grade B & A teams will be in action on Tuesday at the Hawk Nest as they will take on a tough New Braunfels team.

Find a game and come support Canyon Lake student’s this week and Go Hawks!!
